Milk

French milk has a longer shelf life than American milk and does not have to be kept cold. Until you open the carton. French milk is sweeter than American milk because they do not take out all of the fatty things that the americans take out that make their milk so sweet. Our milk is not sweet and it is very thin while french milk is thick.

Hollande

 To keep his promise to balance the budget by 2017, Hollande wants to find 100 billion euros: half from new revenues and half from limiting growth in public spending to 1.1 percent per year - a small cut once inflation is taken into account. But his plans are based on optimistic growth assumptions of 1.7 percent of GDP next year, rising to an average 2.5 percent after 2013. France's trend growth rate for the last 20 years has been 1.6 percent, and economists expect that to dip to 0.9 percent this year.

"The Court is not going to find any big holes in government finances because national accounting in France is very serious, but the problem will be the growth: the forecasts are too optimistic," said the second advisor. Going on past form, the Court will recommend a mix of tax rises and spending cuts to plug the deficit. It has also said the social security system deficit was unprecedented in Europe and must be cut by trimming spending. Such considerations may influence an extraordinary session of parliament in July which Hollande is due to convene to pass a revised 2012 budget and a medium-term spending plan. The month-long session is scheduled to pass legislation ending several tax exemptions, imposing tax surcharges on banks and oil companies, approving a top tax rate of 75 percent for the wealthy and quashing a social VAT introduced by Sarkozy.

Les Presidentielles

The French presidentielles are elected by the people the person who gets the highest percentage of votes the most amount of times wins. Sometimes they are appointed by elected officials. It is a democracy so the more votes the better your chances of winning are. Francois Hollande is in the socialist party and is in first place in the running. Sarkozy is part of the UMP party. Marine le Pen is in the National Front party. Melenchon is in the socialist party as well. Francois Bayrou is in the centralist party.

JEAN DE FLORETTE

I liked the movie I thought it was really good. The acting was done well and there is a great storyline. I liked the build of the story and the unexpected twist ending of Jean De Florette dying I hope to see the next movie.

MUSIQUE ASSIGNMENT

I really liked these assignments because they allowed us to listen to music and filled in the blanks. It allows us to learn more about the music from other cultures like france. This was a lot of fun and I would like to do it again it was a nice change from supersite and book homework.

French movies to American Movies

There have been many French movies that have been turned into english movies. Dinner for Shmucks is the American Dinnergang, The Birdcage is another French movie turned into English movie which i have seen, this may be one of the funniest movies i have seen it is great. The Sorcerer which is based off of The Wages of Fear, The Twelve Monkeys. The biggest one i have seen is TinTin which was done by Steven Speilberg and it is great and is very well done i recommend that movie strongly.
